“Zoe” is the Greek for “The God kind of Life”
Joh 1:4 “In Him was Life (Zoe), and the Life (Zoe) was the Light of men.”
To accept Jesus as Lord and Savior is not the end but the beginning of a newness of life.
1Pe 1:18-19 “You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.”
-We believe in the finished work of the Cross.
-To receive Jesus and what He has done on the Cross is the only way to be reconciled to God (Joh14:6)
-By grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
-God’s grace empowers us to do the greater works of Christ
A Word on Grace
Heb 12:2 “Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12 comes and says so clearly that we should look away from all that distract, unto Jesus who is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. We are therefore not looking to what is wrong and what is right, but we are looking to Jesus. The Word of God (2 Cor 3:18) says that as we behold into the Word of God, like into a mirror, we will be transformed into the very same image. Where your focus is will determine your position and what you experience. The Word says that if the eye (the focus) is sound then the body will be enlightened, but if the eye is not sound, you will experience darkness (Luk 11:34).
Act 20:32 “And now [brethren], I commit you to God [I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care]. And I commend you to the Word of His grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor]. It is able to build you up and to give you [your rightful] inheritance among all God’s set-apart ones (those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul).”
Paul writes that the Word of His Grace is the only Word that is able to build you up and to give you your rightful inheritance. We want to see people walking in that what Christ prepared, to enjoy their inheritance in Him, we therefore bring them the Word of His Grace. We bring a message that make people Christ conscious and not sin conscious. Grace disqualifies you from the works of the Law, but it qualifies you to do the greater works of Christ.
